In-person attendance

One session. Four ways to check in.

Students can check in by BLE, QR, or PIN, while lecturers can assist anyone without a smartphone. Marked phones relay session signals across the room, and every check-in contributes to the same attendance session.

    BLE · Primary

    Fast nearby check-in

BLE is designed to capture a full class in under a minute. The lecturer broadcasts once; nearby student phones detect the session and check in without a line at the front of the room.

  • 02

    QR · Fallback

    Scan when Bluetooth is unavailable

Students can scan the lecturer’s or already marked student's QR Code when their device cannot use BLE or a technical issue gets in the way.

  • 03

    PIN · Fallback

    Enter a session PIN

A short code gives students another check-in route when BLE or QR is not practical.

  • 04

Lecturer assist · No phone needed

    Mark with the lecturer

Lecturers can assist students who do not have a smartphone or cannot complete a self check-in.

Coverage that spreads through the room

Marked students help carry the signal.

After a student is marked, their device can relay BLE, QR, and PIN session signals to other students nearby. Each method can help extend the others, so the lecturer does not need to walk around showing every student QR Codes and PINs or broadcasting from each part of the room.

Stay connected to the class, not the internet

Offline check-ins. Optional live roster.

BLE, QR, and PIN can be verified on-device without internet. If the connection drops, attendance can still be captured and verified locally, then synchronized with the institution’s record when connectivity returns.

The lecturer can separately enable a local Wi-Fi hotspot. Student devices join it so each check-in updates the live list, helping identify students who are already marked, not yet present, or may need lecturer assistance. The hotspot is local and is not required for offline verification.

Online attendance

A short link keeps class moving.

Lecturers post a short-lived attendance link in the video platform’s chat. Students already in the meeting open it, verify in the app with a passkey, are marked present, and return to the lecture.

Institution-wide oversight

Every class. One attendance record.

Bring in-person and online attendance into a shared institutional register. Staff can review sessions, follow participation across courses and units, identify students who may need support, and export attendance records.

  • Capture

    Collect check-ins across attendance modes.

  • Understand

Follow trends across courses and units.

  • Act

Review and export records for follow-up.
